Proximity chat is the primary way to communicate with players near you in character. Messages are only visible to players within range - giving conversations a realistic, location-based feel rather than global broadcasts.

How It Works

When you type in chat (without a command prefix), your message is sent as proximity chat. Only players within 20 meters of your position can see it.
PropertyValue
Visibility range20 meters
Maximum message length200 characters
Players outside that range see nothing. This encourages you to be physically present with the people you want to talk to.

Phone Call Chat

If you are in an active phone call while typing in chat, nearby players see your message formatted as a phone call rather than normal speech. This means people around you can tell you are on the phone and can hear your side of the conversation.

Custom Name Color

Premium players can set a custom color for their name as it appears in proximity chat. Command: /pcolor [hex color]
/pcolor is a premium feature. Standard players cannot change their chat name color.

Tips

  • Move close to another player before starting a conversation - proximity is required for them to read your messages.
  • Phone call formatting is automatic when you are mid-call. You do not need to do anything special.
  • Keep messages under 200 characters to avoid them being rejected.
